The Opportunity
We are looking for 4 Planning Leads (1x entry-level, 2x mid-level, 1x higher-level) to join our growing PMO team in Nuclear Decommissioning at our central support office in Gloucestershire, to specialise in Project, Programme, and Portfolio Planning.
The Planning Lead is responsible for ensuring the Planning of a specified Project, Programme, or Portfolio is carried-out professionally and in compliance with all EDF Energy requirements to support Nuclear Decommissioning. You'll work alongside Project, Category and Programme Managers plus other Controls professionals, to provide planning support, insights and observations to aid scope delivery. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of Project, Programme and Portfolio Controls in EDF.

Pay, benefits and culture
We can offer a competitive salary from £40,069-£84,892 and you'll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Nuclear Generation Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.

What you'll be doing
As a Planning Lead, alongside reporting into the Senior Planning Lead, you will:
- Provide specialist fleet-wide support for Planning for Nuclear Decommissioning
- Ensure full compliance with EDF requirements for Planning, and as needed, lead other Planning professionals ensuring consistency, coherence and adherence to relevant standards
- Support the resource, cost and estimating process to ensure baseline control is in place for plan/cost monitoring purposes
- Carry out routine review/analysis of project, programme, and portfolio controls and monthly reports for planning
- Analyse trends within the portfolio and deliver feedback on areas of planning, resource, and risk
- Contribute to the Project, Programme, Portfolio change control and risk management processes
- Proactively support evolution of Control processes and tools to meet EDF requirements.
Who you are
As a Planning Lead, at a minimum you will hold a HNC as a minimum requirement in a relevant subject, and have come from a Multi-Discipline, Engineering Project Management or Project Control environment, ideally within a highly regulated environment.
Planning Lead's will have a high level of analytical and numerate skills being proficient in the use of various Planning and control tools and systems, and having experience of Primavera Planning software would be preferable. You'll have a detailed understanding of Planning methodologies and techniques. You'll also be proficient in the application of Earned Value concepts and tools, as well as having a working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation.
