Job Summary

This position is responsible for the scheduling and coordination of all Non-Licensed Operations accredited and non-accredited training activities/programs by providing Training oversight/assessment and technical guidance to improve line and station performance and meet regulatory requirements. As requested the experiece must be in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical/Electrical/I&C Maintenance/Engineering/Radiological/Chemistry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, observation, and technical guidance to improve line and station performance and meet regulatory requirements.

  • Develop training materials, conduct, and present training.

  • Assist subject matter experts in the development of training and implementation of training materials.

  • Manage the Systematic Approach to Training and accreditation renewal activities for the assigned training program. 

  • Manage training intranet and VISION database. Assist line management in oversight of OJT/TPE activities for qualifications. 

  • Perform self-assessments, benchmarking, and observations to identify strengths and weaknesses. Partner with line management to manage, govern and monitor the requested training program(s). 

  • Support refuel outages and emergency response team as assigned.

 

Job Specific Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Associates degree in science/engineering or education/training with 4+ years related industry experience/ technical background
    OR · 6+ years of related industry experience/technical background

  • A combination of Training and  Operational experience  and job knowledge commensurate with the position being sought: Mechanical, Electrical, I&C Maintenance, Engineering, Radiological or Chemistry.

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Meet and maintain Nuclear's requirements for unescorted plant access.  

 

 DESIRED:

  • BS Degree
  • Prior classroom/training experience, prior experience in performance of basic Plant Operations tasks and practices.
