Landscape Architect

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Landscape Architect to come and join a busy client in the Manchester area.

The main duties of the experienced Senior Landscape Architect are:

  • Direct and internal client liaison
  • Able to make decisions and advise the client quickly on technical queries
  • Attend the Amey and client office at least one day a week - Trafford area
  • Experienced with programme and cost control
  • Understand Local Authority requirements, i.e., recreational facilities, parks, minor highways work
  • SUDS for highways and green spaces
  • Supporting Amey civils design teams and operational delivery teams on hard landscaping
  • Some business development to capture client funding for new schemes
  • The client ideally wants someone from a public sector background with parks maintenance experience.
  • Candidate would need to have a basic understanding of CAD & landscape design and legislation.
  • Available to assist, but the communication & stakeholder engagement
  • No direct stakeholder engagement - all internal engagement
  • Working in a team but a stand-alone landscape architect in that office - Landscape expert in the office
  • Basic Clark of works landscape management role
  • Will be managing the contractors
