The role
As an Electrical & Electronics Engineer you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities, through the application of process, electrical and electronic engineering knowledge, and experience. The role is directly accountable for designs, developments and determines solutions to problems and issues within a specialist subject area.
- Design and development of Launch Control Systems for Submarines.
- Creation of sophisticated real-time Control Systems utilising the latest in PLC and Distributed Control methods form the core of our Launch Systems.
- Signalling and control is both digital and analogue. The ability to interface control circuits with instrumentation, mechanical, and communication systems is a key skill you will employ regularly.
- Generating electrical schematics using CAD Software.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Electrical & Electronics Engineer
- Experience working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project types
- Interpretating specifications and actively selecting components for control system design
- Familiarity with a range of instrumentation
- Awareness of relevant Electrical regulations, legislation, and standards (i.e. BS7671, BS EN 60204, etc)
- Experience of Document Management Systems
Qualifications of the Electrical & Electronics Engineer
- HNC/HND or Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
