The MEH alliance work across the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main MEH, cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's 2,500 rooms.

The role

As a Area Quality Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. There is a broad scope of work, from coatings to mechanical works. Currently there is a project to digitise quality on-site, moving everything over to asset suite 9.

Day to day, you'll support the QA Manager for activities such as developing standards, incorporating lessons learned / best practices in the quality system, training on quality, audits and quality improvements.

  • Interfacing regularly with the client and ensuring compliance
  • Overcoming issues in process
  • Development of ITPs to meet construction schedule requirements
  • Reporting on quality metrics for the measurement of performance of the works

Essential experience of the Area Quality Lead:

  • Previous experience in a leadership position within quality
  • Automation systems experience preferred
  • Electrical bias preferred

This role is 37 hours per week, onsite Monday-Friday on a 9 day fortnight.

Qualifications for the Area Quality Lead:

  • Qualifications in an Engineering discipline (ONC/HNC/HND)
  • Preferred membership of Chartered Quality Institute

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
